Finance Foundations

Description
Finance Foundations is designed to give nonfinance business professionals a general overview of the key terms of finance and the tools used to make financial decisions. You will be seeking a more complete understanding of the language finance professionals use. The material within this course will explore the organization of a firm, investment and financing decisions, cash flows, discount rates, and the effect of assumptions on financial evaluations. Finance Foundations will cover basic financial formulas, but the emphasis will be on the language of finance rather than the mathematics. Each section will present a topical question about finance by examining the stories of several real and/or fictional firms. A specific analytic tool financiers use to explain the mechanics of the topic will be demonstrated, explained, and ultimately used by you.
